A crossover kayak that truly excels in any water. The Katana will take on rapids and glide through calm water‚ with plenty of room in the stern for gear and robust outfitting for everyday use. Reinforced hatches and a removable bow bulkhead offer unparalleled gear storage, while the drop skeg adds speed and stability. The 10.4 suits larger paddlers or paddlers needing additional storage for longer adventures.
Contour Ergo Outfitting system
At Dagger, we take pride in our innovative designs, particularly when they contribute to safer and more reliable kayaking experiences. Our world-class Contour Ergo Outfitting system achieves just that by offering unparalleled adjustability, patented technology, and cutting-edge safety innovations for whitewater kayaking. Since a kayak and paddle function as a single unit, the internal design is as crucial to performance as the hull design. We take great care to integrate advanced comfort and technical features seamlessly, and you'll appreciate the difference the moment you try Dagger's Contour Ergo Outfitting.
Roto-molded seating with leg lifter
Our roto-molded seat system is not only incredibly safe, but also supremely comfortable. It comes equipped with intuitive controls for easy fore and aft adjustment and a groundbreaking ratcheting leg lifter that offers 3" of elevation. This feature allows paddlers to adopt an optimal position within the kayak, promoting efficient control and energy transfer. The adjustable hip pads can also be quickly released and tailored to each user's needs for maximum comfort and control. Meanwhile, the highly adjustable backband offers crucial support and comfort, serving as a pivotal point of contact for control. All of these features are wrapped in plush cockpit padding, and we even provide a seat booster for ultimate customization.
Precision adjustable thigh braces
Fine-tune your fit with Dagger's precision adjustable thigh braces. Shaped to allow easy entry and exit, our thigh braces offer 2" of fore and aft adjustment. With the ergonomic shape and soft padding, the thigh braces are next-level comfort. Simple. Secure. Dialed-in.
Adjustable slim profile roto-molded foot plate
Dagger adapted the whitewater bulkhead style foot brace concept for the Katana but tuned it down a few degrees. You still get the adjustability and engagement but we made it super easy to remove and with its slim profile you can now store more gear in the nose of the kayak.
TruTrak adjustable skeg system
The adjustable TruTrak skeg system allows you to adjust the Katana's tracking capabilities on the go, allowing you to customize your paddling experience in different environmental conditions.
Safety is priority number one with Dagger, which is why we coined the phrase “Team Tested, Paddler Proven.” Our products go through rigorous testing by our professionals in various environments, so you know that you can trust our product.
Comfort and a customized fit are critical to the Dagger persona, and you will experience unique refinement the moment you sit in Dagger's Contour Ergo Outfitting.
The Katana was designed to inspire confidence in the paddler with a balanced rocker profile for speed on the flat and maneuverability in whitewater. The hull is designed for initial stability, while the bevelled and flared side walls create secondary stability. The rounded stern deck shape, taken from the Mamba design, sheds water easily, making it forgiving in moving water. The Katana also offers a more spacious cockpit than traditional whitewater designs for a less confining feeling.
Our kayaks are made from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic for a longer-lasting, stiffer, and impact-resistant kayak.
