Use and Performance:

Your centre of gravity is lower in our kayaks, which results in a nice feeling of stability when paddling. Instead, you can focus on the nature surrounding you, fishing, or even just soaking up the sun. This allows more room for gear on an extended paddle trip. The majority have a tracking fin on the bottom as well as a skid plate for running ashore. The fin helps keep the kayak going straight, and the skid plate provides additional durability when beaching the kayak. These boats are great for lakes, bays, marinas, and mild rivers, but always be familiar with your surroundings and thoroughly read and understand all instructions and cautions.

Simply deflate your kayak and reposition the tube by pushing the tubes all the way to each end of the tube cover.

The 3/4″ pump fitting is universal to all valves on Advanced Elements kayaks.

Make sure not to over-tighten or under-tighten the twist valves. Turn until the twist knob is tight and the cap is secure. If the problem persists, email us or give us a call at 1-888-669-6960.

The owner’s manual is located in a clear plastic pouch on the inside of the duffel bag. If you need an extra manual, it can be downloaded from our website.

The repair kit is located in the mesh pocket on the back of your seat. For the Firefly™ and the Dragonfly™ models, it is located in the mesh pocket on top of the kayak.

The manufacturer’s statement of origin is located in the back of your owner’s manual. The top portion is all you need to fill out. The lower, first assignment portion, is intended for the transfer of boat ownership.

Yes, all of our kayaks come complete with a very heavy-duty duffel bag for transporting your kayak to your favourite destination.

The key to repacking the kayak is to get all the air out of it. Do this by reversing your pump and sucking the remaining air out of each chamber. Then follow the folding instructions in the owner’s manual.

Replacement parts can be ordered directly from our website. If you are having trouble locating a particular part, call us toll-free at 1-888-669-6960 or contact us via email for assistance.

A 12v pump is a great way to get the kayak started, but most typically only provide roughly 0.60 psi. Your kayak requires 2.0 psi to be fully inflated, so a 12v pump will do most of the work for you, but for full inflation, a bellows foot pump or double-action hand pump is necessary to top it off.

Air is escaping because your valve is in the deflate position. When the plunger is pushed in, the valve is set to deflate. The plunger should be up for inflation. Refer to your manual, or go here, for proper inflation and deflation techniques.

When storing for an extended period of time, we recommend storing your kayak deflated in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight.

These are a few other accessories that we would suggest if you don’t already have them.

    1. Bellows foot pump (to take with you).
      b. A good quality paddling PFD (lifejacket) designed for kayaking.
      c. Roll-top dry bag 1 or 2 (for stowing gear on deck or behind your seat).
      d. A 4-part take-down paddle (so it will fit in your kayak duffel bag).
      e. A paddling jacket is a nice thing to have on cold wet days.
      f. Safety whistle and strobe light. Always play it safe.
      g. An external frame pack for packing your kayak into a back country lake.
      h. A backbone (for Advanced Frame Series and Lagoon2).

Hose it down with freshwater and let it air dry before packing it away for extended periods. Use a sponge to soak up any excess water and grit that may have made their way into the boat. You can also use soft liquid soap or a diluted solution of Simple Green.
